Minimum Expectations

  1. Student Grade Point Average (GPA)
  2. Student Grades
  3. Student attendance
  4. Past Virtual Success
  5. (KG-2) FAST Scores
  6. State Assessment Scores
  7. Student Behavioral Incidents
  8. On track for graduation
  9. Second Semester Seniors
  1. 2.5 and above (Seniors will be case by case)
  2. No grades below a “D”
  3. Less than 15 absences
  4. Successfully completed virtual course(s)(if applicable) 
  5. On or above grade level
  6. Level 3 or above
  7. No behavioral issues related to technology
  8. Up-to-date on graduation credits
  9. We only accept second semester seniors that are on track to graduate and have taken 6 credits or more virtually of their high school required credits. 

Other Option for those not Accepted into full-time SJVS

If your student is not accepted into the full-time SJVS program, please know that there is another option, Home Education. SJCSD Home Education students still have access to the award winning SJVS teachers, even when not in the full-time SJVS program. You can take the same course, in the same platform and with the same teacher with Home Education.
