Community Service is required for the Bright Futures Academic and Medallion Scholars Awards. There is not a service hour requirement for graduation. You may start working on your service hours the summer after you complete the 8th grade. Service hours should be submitted on letterhead from the non-profit where you performed your service. View the SJCSD Community Service Guidelines. Remember to keep a copy of the letter and submit the original to your school counselor.
