SJVS Intro –
I want to welcome each of you to the biggest secret in St. Johns County (well…until a little thing called COVID-19). St. Johns Virtual is proud to offer an alternative learning model for highly motivated students and families. By coming to SJVS, you are announcing to the world that you are a highly organized and motivated individual that is looking for a different manner to learn.
About Mr. Erskine –
I came to St. Johns Virtual School back in October of 2015. I came from the Gaines and Transitions School previously to my time here. Once I arrived at St. Johns Virtual as a Computer Operator, I quickly learned many aspects of the virtual world and incorporated my military attributes (Go Navy) and my M.Ed. with an emphasis in Education Technology (SWOOP) into the job. During the summer of 2016 I was promoted to the Registrar/Testing Coordinator and was in heaven. I love data and seeing how so many things all align to factual data was amazing to experience. I was in this role until October of 2019, where I was promoted to the new role of Assistant Principal. This allowed me to really learn the leadership part of running a school. I was privileged to then move to South Woods Elementary in July of 2021 and served that amazing community until October of 2021. I was able to return to SJVS in October of 2021 as the first ever stand alone Principal.
Ram Fam Strong – Fun Fact
In 2019 SJVS was awarded the honor of being the “Rams”. Why the Rams? Random Access Memory (RAM) is how we came up with our mascot.
I am so excited to have you join our Ram Fam with us.
Keep on Rocking!!
